Lowering comp record and also quicker than Boardman's unofficial (done in a club 10) all time fastest 10. Nice form from the Dr ahead of the Worlds.

According to the Little Book of Pain, the 10 records were:

2006 B Wiggins OBE 17:58
2010 M Hutchinson 17:57

So that's 12 seconds off his own record.

Find me a long enough downhill and I'll have a go.

Is that a 10 mile downhill Phil  .

They were the comp records, Boardman had gone quicker, can't remember time, but it was a club event not an open so doesn't count. Needs to be in an open for official timekeepers etc. Hutch's new record beats CB's time though.

Don't know but it's not a lot. He always seems to look pretty big on a bike but when you stand next to him he's quite a small skinny bloke. Not as short as you and I Sylv but definately no taller than average if that tall, and surprisingly scrawny...he wouldn't win any arm wrestling contests but leg wrestling would be a different matter and looks like he could do with a pie or two.

Yeah, but young Alex beat Bertie. Good race. Excellent performance by Phinney - shame he's no match for our Rich up Box.

Me and Tom both wondering what Tony could do on G10/42 ...

I think Tony would do a mid to low 18 on Holmwood, you never know this could be the prologue for a future TOB race

I think Wouter Sybrandy did a 19 something at Holmwood last year-so I think Martin would go considerably faster than that.
