[quote]Everyone gets dropped initially but there are lots of different groups to ride around with when it happens and believe me it will happen!
Oh my dayz, that was Bloody hard!...I haven't raced for a month but I've been training fairly regularly, obviously not enough
. Hillingdon can be tough, Eastway is tougher still, but life at the bottom of the road racing pyramid doesn't get tougher than Palace
Stay in the front third of the bunch. Check. Take the fastest lines on all the bends. Check. Mark all the jumps made by the big guns driving things at the front. Check. Don't allow gaps to open up when riders in front of you begin to weaken. Check. Adhere to this simple plan for all 27 laps. FAIL!!!!!!. My aerobic torture ceased with just 11 laps to go.
Big hats off must go to first timers Matt, Kieran, Kevin, and well done again Jack for really giving it a go!...In racing terms Mr T Harris is now ACC's race Daddy. Fresh from a fantastic 35th place in the Fred Whitton challenge he dug very deep and grabbed 4th spot.
In the E12's our old mate Mr Perez got him self involved in a 3 man breakaway which went clear quite early on. His two companions obviously drove things really hard coz the Aussie fast man had nothing left at the finish and only grabbed 3rd spot...More anaerobic therapy next week, take care guys
P.S. Thanks to Sean, George and Kevin for their support
