metrobus complaint response

Postby Alan M » Fri Oct 12, 2012 5:42 pm

Following being carved up by an angry driver and then shown his finger when I tapped on his window I received this,

Dear Mr Malarkey,
I am writing in response to your complaint regarding one of our drivers on the 405 route on 2nd October 2012 and the poor driving standards displayed.
I am sorry to hear about what occurred and that you have been given cause to complain. I would not expect our drivers to behave in the manner you have described.

From the information that you have given, I have been able to identify the driver of this bus and the next step is now to conduct a formal investigation where the driver will be interviewed to discuss the incident with him. Following on from this, any necessary formal disciplinary action or retraining can occur to ensure that this type of behaviour does not occur again.
Once again please accept our apologies. The company is actively working to improve its service levels and thanks you for taking the time to contact us regarding this matter.
Kind regards,
Monica Banks

no I imagine he will deny it all but I think just being called into the office and having it noted on file could be good and make him think twice in the future. I seriously doubt I'll hear any more and am ok with the response

+1 to Metrobus for responding like this. If they have a word and he sorts his act out then something positive will be achieved. Worth putting in that complaint.

On Bikeradar someone did suggest a revenge option if you are menaced by a builders van. If they won't apologise, phone up HMRC and say they offered you a 20% discount for cash.

<Pedant mode>
To discount for VAT at 20%, the discount from the full amount would be 16 2/3 %
</Pedant mode>
Splendid, evil, devious revenge option. I like it.
