[quote="olderigetbetteriwas"]of course armstrong was a doper...he did whatever it took to win...in that sense he was just being the most professional pro cyclist of the era...the thing that really sticks in the throat is f**king pat mcquaid still claiming the uci have no role in anything and nothing to investigate...
I was geeting a little, ok alot bored with this thread however I must disagre with the statement he was the most professional of his era for chaeating. I think that would mean he misrepresented the word professional which to the ones that didn't dope means doing everything they can do to win so long as it is legal and moral. He disgregarded both.
I cannot like millions of others, including those within the pro ranks and other professional sports stars, dislike him or not still have some admiration for his achievements. This is because throughout professional sport there is chaeting whether using PEDs or stealing someones car designs or running someone off the track. That's just in sports. Sports probably reflect life as a whole.
The rewards for doping contnue to far outway the penalties so if you are morally bereft and not quite good enough it's worth it..... isn't it?
