Can't help noticing that some of the two-year old messages on pages 12-13 may not be what they seem

And that is why I haven't been a BC member for about 8 years!

To our racers - give up road racing for a year. Send a message to BC that you will not tolerate them putting up with the corruption at UCI (which part of your BC membership goes to fund). If you must scratch the racing itch, go mountainbike racing or timetrialling where no licence is needed. Try to find races that are not BC sanctioned. Deprive the corruptors of their lifeblood - money.

As Greg has said. If you love cycling, do your bit to make it clean. Deprive the UCI of its revenue until Pat and Hein are gone and we have a chance of a clean, respectable sport.

Join the CTC instead - they will provide the third party insurance required to be an ACC member - and are all about cycling from the grassroots up and are the biggest organisation lobbying for cycling and cyclists in this country!

Absolutely. Join the CTC. They give you the third party insurance, campaign (pretty effectively) for cyclists rights, and legal cover should you get knocked off is very good and professional.

Now this next bit is going to be a bit controversial:
Should we put a motion to the AGM that the club disaffiliates from BC until such time as it demonstrates that it does not support a corrupt UCI?

Imagine if lots of clubs around the country disaffiliated. What a message that would send.

Money was already offered years ago to anyone who would come forward and say that Greg doped. Big money. No one could.

Way to go McQuaids!

Edit: Good call Amy, CTC all the way.

Does my riding a LeMond bike compensate for doing so while wearing full Armstrong-era Astana kit?

Ditch a licence and unaffilate...not much good for someone to enjoy their hobby of racing or for the club's support of grass roots racing.
Everyone does it to make them listen? No, you just destroy grass roots road racing.
