Cyclopark - Cycloween

Postby Phil H » Sun Oct 28, 2012 2:25 pm

We think Tom got 4th in the U12s (field of 11). But anyway, it's the first time we've been out there. Compared to Palace it's, well, palatial. Seems like a really nice facility - track much more interesting than Hillingdon. The only issue is it being freezing cold. Tom chose to race in shorts & short sleeves. I swear I saw snowflakes on him after the race (didn't look like dandruff). Great to have a café to warm up in after.

There was a 4ths only race so I could've gone an humiliated myself. Maybe another time. Uncle Huw was trying to persuade us to turn up for the Wednesday evening training.

Small(?) boys seem to resist the cold quite well. We did take long kit with us too. I was freezing watching.

Results up on the BC site now. He got 3rd.
