Last CR and Saturday night drink/Indian in Croydon

Hi All,

As some of you may or may not know, I'll be leaving next week for sunnier climes down under!

My last club run will be this Saturday 10 November (Probably with 19's )

Some of the club members have shown an interest in going for a drink or three on Saturday night in Croydon, so I've booked a table for 15 at The Crown and Pepper, 242 High Street, Croydon.

They have awesome food at this pub (Indian is great and also other great dishes) and some decent beers etc.

I have booked the table for 19.00. I wasn't sure of numbers, so said 15. If you are keen, please e-mail me a confirmation at: johnsgargan@gmail.com and that way if we have more than 15 people I can let the pub know to allow for more space etc

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that I have meet at the club for being so welcoming/helpful and just plain friendly during my time at the club. It is hands down the best cycle club I've had the privilege to be part of and just goes to show the quality of the member base

Special shout out to all the TG (training group) lads (and some part time TG'ers) who made me suffer more than once to simple keep up with em (I think I finished the whole TG ride a handful of times only!)..... Iliya, Ghaleb "aka diesel", Keith, The Shadow, Sylv, Ant, Rich, Steve, Ben, Dan (another diesel train), George, Alan M (though he never made me suffer!) etc,too many to mention ... you know who you are .... meet some real characters too.... like Marco! .... and JP with his crazy 240k plus rides (will probably join him in Oz for more of those! hehehe)

I also thouroughly enjoyed racing and flying the Addiscombe CC flag to the best of my (limited ) ability .... managed to move up to third cat! .... and those 10 mile Holmwood TT's are AWESOME! (best time was 24 something on that one.... will have to come back to crack 24 on a proper TT bike one day )

Look forward to my last Addiscombe CC ride with familiar faces and will hopefully see some of you at the pub later!

So I get up for my last CR and it's raining! ... expect no less for a UK winter I guess

I'm a fair weather rider to be honest, so unless this clears unlikely to ride, so looks like my last CR was last week!

Still on for drinks/meal at 19.00 though!!,,, so see you all then (who have confirmed obvs!)
