Cyclocross world cup day trip 24/11

I'm planning to hop over to Belgium on Sat 24/11 with Shaun B to watch the best cross riders in the world at the Koksijde world cup (sandy course).

Plan is to drive to the chunnel very early morning, cross channel and drive the 40 miles to the venue, watch womens and mens races in the afternoon, sample the beer and chips, and drive back in the evening.

Shaun's driving and there's a couple seats available. Cost would be sharing the petrol, chunnel (around £70 for a car) and the €15 race entry fee.

Are you planning another trip at any point? Given more notice I am very keen to go. Not this season unfortunately as I am currently rather tied up helping babysit a 5 week old girl (she's mine so kind of hard to get out of it) but next season for sure!

No we didn't go in the end .. would have been a good experience, but in retrospect quite glad I stayed home for this one. Weather was horrible, and having watched it live too it was on the most exciting races ever. Maybe another time.
