Roll up! There are only 20 entries left. And I know that Ben and Katie are going to take a couple of those.

The downhill (freewheel) competition can take more. You don't need to enter the HC to enter the downhill.

Eh? You're the one who wants us to do more TTs on GS334.

For the benefit of the rest: Downhill is entry on the line. Uphill is restricted to 30 places so pre-entry to me by PM or Paul Tunnell (e-mail at the top of the thread).

GS/335 actually (Mr Pedant) - and they're no hills, Phil - just a bit lumpy - it's a lovely course.

There are still a few places left in this competition. Mail to paul dot tunnell at landg dot com before close of play Thursday to get in on the fun.

.. and everyone had their chance as I wouldn't really call this a hill climb .. first 1.2km are either mostly flat, or downhill .. it rises for about 400m, but nothing too steep, before flatening at the finish.

Problem is though, the (twisty) lane is littered with mud and debris, and flooded in a (blind) corner. It should be ok if it doesn't rain on Thu/Fri I think, but otherwise I wouldn't want to be the one calling it on safety grounds. Is the road closed for the event?

Forecast is good at the moment Sylv. I haven't been that way for ages so couldn't remember what it was like. Think I'll scratch the plan to run my TT wheels with tubs then (actually I was thinking about the whole TT bike for the downhill).

PvT will be the one to make the call.

In the summer a TT bike would be good there - average speed was 31+km/h on the climb with sections at 40km/h. As it is now, I'm leaving the mudguards on!

Yes. I'll post in Rides later in the week. The plan is departing CSS at 8:30 - which gives us time for an easy ride and maybe a puncture fix.

Start list posted in the Racing section. I'm not sure if Santa visits children who overtake their parents.

There are a hillclimb few places left for entry on the line. Downhill is all on-the-line entry.

Entry is £3 for the hillclimb and £1 for the downhill.

Well I'll be on 48x19 because that's what's on the fixed.

You may lose the downhill - with your crank tied to your downtube.
