I can confirm that hill is not suitable for fixed, had to spin like mad on the flat and then at the climb was too knackered to stamp on the pedals. Good fun though and an enjoyable day. Shame more didn't go for it, perhaps we can look at a summer hill climb for the club event and tie it in to the CR a bit more with people happier to stay out longer and sit in the sun on a nice day.

It was going to be a month earlier but, you know, things ... stuff. It would be nice to make this an annual event and get some more out. It really doesn't matter where you finish and the unpleasantness doesn't last long.

And no, it wasn't right for fixed. That said, I think I only used two gears: 50x14 and 34x14.
