Additional thing: Uncle Huw (with his BC hat on) runs race training sessions on a Wednesday night (except second Wednesday of the month) from 7:00pm - 8:30pm. This is on the cyclopark circuit under floodlights. £5 a throw, interval and skills based. Abilities from the boy being maxxed out to his dad being "please shoot me now". A good alternative to the turbo.

Any ideas of how tough the circuit is, from a road racing perspective.

I certainly found racing at Cyclopark hard. It seemed more suited to those who were several decades younger than me. It is a lot more interesting than places like Hillingdon or Dunsfold, but the constant bursts of pace at Cyclopark make it much more diffcult. If (or when, in my case) you lose the back of the bunch the strong wind which always seems to blow there makes it very tough to get back on. Nice facilities and easy to find but a fair drive to get there.

Thanks Paul, hopefully you can put that experience to good use. The plan is to have the club members road race their next year. It will be 15th September am, so plenty of time to train.
