3. If some of the big names in ACC cant be bothered to do it, am I allowed to?

Strikes me that Facebook is a pretty useful alternative to this place, and as I learned just now, we's got the Twitters too.

What do you and others see an ACC LinkedIn group as being useful for? If you don't mind me asking?

I agree with Doug. ACC is social/sporting so better suited to FB. Plus it's free whereas anything beyond basic Linkedin has to be paid for. All the linkedin groups I belong to seem to be nothing more than opportunities for randoms with tenuous links to get in touch asking for jobs. I even had one bloke suggesting that as a 3rd (friend of a friend of a friend) linky we should connect. That's the same level linky I and most people have to President Obama!
