Club Members Road Race-22nd September

A date for the diary, Club Members Road Race - 22nd September (am). Venue Cyclopark - The Tollgate, Wrotham Road, Gravesend, Kent DA11 7NP

More details, will follow. However there will be more than one race, as one of the aim's is to encourage beginners to take part and to accommodate the different levels.

Most importantly, there's time to train and to encourage fellow members to take part, especially if you think you can beat them.

How long will the A race be and is there a long hill on this course?

The circuit is booked from 9am to 1pm. Everything else is to be decided. Though the idea of having to wear the club jersey, (New or old) in the A race appeals to me.

Really looking forward to this, but I'll have to get training...maybe not with the Training Group though, they'd drop me before we got out of Coulsdon

Hopefully they'll be a good turnout so we can all have a race, should be a good day.

Youths/Juniors/Women

What to do, the best way to incorporate. Then to promote to get the required numbers, if seperate etc. Ideas ?

I think that is fair and will give everyone a race.

Ur, I was contemplating going for 90kg and over, but thought that I might be racing on my own, actually......

Well, A word for the vets, surely we can't be contemplating pitching 24 year old against 64 year olds and calling it a fair race?? so I'll happily enter the 80kg+ 60 years+ division - anyone else up for that?

I hear some of these old fellas do regular altitude training though.
