This was to be first TT of the season, to see just how unfit I have got over the winter.
Reasonably fast dual carriageway course (F2D/10) on the A428 west of Cambridge. Driving up there I encountered a heavy rain shower, but it looked to have cleared up by the time I got to the HQ. Ha! At almost the exact moment I rode out of the car park to start my warm up the heavens opened. Completely soaked to the skin within 10 minutes, with raindrops so heavy they were stinging my legs and arms. Had a look at the course and there was a fair bit of spray, so I declined to start. Typically, by the time I'd peeled off the wet kit and was ready to depart, there was a blue sky again.
