Dear Agreeables - just received this - might have quite an impact on our CR to Charlwood and back.

Good afternoon Jon, I am hoping that you can help by sending this message to other cyclists within your club. This is not a circular or junk email!

As a horse rider we are often passed by members of the Addiscombe club, which I must say are always very polite and courteous. I note that your cyclists often use the Charlwood Road, which may now become even more dangerous.

Browns Lorries located in Charlwood Road are planning on creating a new soil facility which will have detrimental impact on the amount of huge trucks on our local roads in Ifield and surrounding areas and the environment.

We have formalised a committee to object to these plans, as we consider this to be a potential hazard to children, walkers, Cyclists and horse riders.

To find out more information please visit http://www.nocrushers.co.uk.

Please could you send this to as many of your club members as possible, as the deadline for objections is 23rd May.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me, or more information is on our website.

Kind Regards,

Carla King

I have her contact details PM if you want them.

I have put a link to this on the Facebook page.

On the bright side:

Aside from the traffic issue, I think other people will agree that the abysmal road surface on that stretch will hardly be improved by putting a load more lorries over it.

Good point about the road, Phil. I hope you put that point in your objection.
