I've just checked my diary and realised that I'm running a particularly hilly cross country half marathon the day before (they don't call it Beauty and the Beast for nothing!) I usually mix my training up a bit, but I'm only too aware that running eaves my legs feeling like lead on the bike the following day. Why is is ride then run is fine, but run then ride is totally the opposite?
Anyhoooo, I really don't think that my first step into racing should be off the back of long run, so I'm going to bow out this time. Sorry.
