Course is 2 laps of A24 north on single carriageway lumpy section and on to Beare Green, then back down the A29, then left on to a lumpy little cross back passed the start to repeat. Second time around you carry on the A29 to Clemsfold and then finish up a drag on a rough old cart track of a lane.
The A24 section was in to a strong headwind which made it very tough going, the A29 section was nice and fast though after the early lumps.
We worked quite well and finished with 1:03:24 which is two minutes quicker than I've done that course solo. The 2up event was won by the flying Nomads but pleasingly we stopped them catching us.
The solo event was won by a back to form Steve Dennis with a brilliant long 54. Quality ride on that course in today's wind.
Sadly Rob was a DNF with a puncture
.This was the first of a few events with Paul, we have two Grand Prix des Gentlemen coming up along with a trip up the Bec hill climb on his tandem. Should all hurt but be fun.
