Postby huw williams » Mon May 15, 2006 9:55 am

Can anyone who's doing that little ride in Yorkshire this sunday please let me know? So far I know of Connor and Brian. Anyone else coming?

Ian told me on Sat that he would not be coming. I will be there and so will Brian.

Huw, what time are you starting on Sunday? I think the earlier the better. The weather forecast is for heavy showers.

Sounds like a civilised time to start. No point starting too early, I do enough of that for time trials. Besides, don't want to get to Tan Hill before opening time.

Just checked 3 sites for weather at Skipton on Sunday;

BBC has heavy rain, max 14C, 13mph wind.
Weather Channel has rain, 11C, 15mph.
Metcheck no rain, 14C, 6mph.

I think I'll ride on the bit Metcheck are looking at.

Weather forecasting according to Yorkshire Dales folklore:

"If you can see the hills, it's going to rain. If you can't see the hills, it's raining."
