For those that don't Facebook, as a BC affiliated club, we're allowed to submit team entries to this. BC e-mail. Note that if you're not a BC member you can get free Bronze membership using the offer codes I sent out in my e-mail. Matthew Radford has offered to coordinate our team entries. You can contact him at illuminatesyou [at] yahoo [dot] co [dot] uk
Dear Phil,

A membership benefit that’s exclusive to club members:

One of the many benefits of being a British Cycling member is exclusive access to top cycling events.

For the second year running, we are offering members who belong to our affiliated clubs a chance to ride in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 Club Challenge on Sunday 10 August.

We’ve secured places for 400 teams of four riders in the event. Affiliated clubs can apply for teams in the following categories:

- Men's Team (4 riders, all male)
- Women's Team (4 riders, all female)
- Mixed Team (4 riders, 2 male, 2 female)

Key dates

Team entries open today (Tuesday 4 March) and close at 1700 on Friday 21 March 2014. Successful teams will be informed by Friday 28 March 2014.The event takes place on Sunday 10 August 2014.

How to enter

Clubs can apply for more than one team but all applications from a club must be co-ordinated by one person on behalf of the club. Your club representative must specify the number of teams you want in each category when they apply.

Entries can be made through the Prudential RideLondon website. You will be asked to provide the name of the club, the number of team entries requested together with the name and email address of the person responsible for managing the club’s entries.

If a club application is successful, each rider within the team will need to pay their own entry fee (£48) and complete their own online entry form. All team members must have completed and paid for their entry by 25 April 2014 or the team will lose its place.

Any club represented in the 2013 Club Challenge is guaranteed, upon application, a minimum of one team in the 2014 Club Challenge. There are places for 400 teams in total. If applications are received for more than 400 teams, a ballot will be held.

Additional details

Every rider in a team must be a current British Cycling member at the point of entry and on the day of the event.

Riders who hold an Elite or 1st Category British Cycling Race Licence are not eligible to enter the Club Challenge.

Riders who have already secured an individual place through the original entry ballot or a charity place are not eligible to enter the Club Challenge.

£48 is a bit steep for a ride from London to Box Holl and back, even if you do get the chance to verbally abuse Boris along the way.

£48!!!.

I think the phrase I'm after rhymes with clucking bell.

Toks: as per above, mail Matt. He's collating names. Probably worth including what sort of time you're looking at to see if we've got different speeds.

I don't think the Chiseled Whippet is riding this year.

I did this last year and yes it was fantastic, closed roads and no cars. Have got in this year through public ballot, yes £48.00 is a lot but worth it.
I know Scott is also in. Good luck on forming a team.

I need to complete the online entry by Wednesday 19th. I will be travelling 20th and 21st and might not have reliable internet and tools. Please could I ask all applications by that date to ensure we enter those that have already applied.

Thanks.

It's a bit confusing that this thread asks that we email Matthew and the other one on the Rides forum (viewtopic.php?f=19&t=14908) asks for names to be added there.... :?

Hi Elliot, sorry for the confusion. It would be best if you could email me please as instructed above please. I've been working off both lists, but the email method will give me your email address as well.

Thanks,
