Addiscombe Members Circuit Race 16th March 2014

Ok two weeks to go:

Matt W if you are second claim member and you want to race I'll put you down.
Matt R I'll put your name down if you are keen. My assumption is that you are a member, but I have no idea if you have raced before or not.

Here's the list of people who have posted up above or emailed me. Though many more have said yes on the club ride. If you are one of those, it's helpful, if you post up on this thread. If you are riding with the training group or have raced before then ideally you will take part in the A race. The brackets after the names are for those riders who have told be which race.

The main aim, is to encourage people to start racing and hopefully represent the club in open events.

I think this has to be fairly unique for ACC to have a Club Race so early in the season. But unlike the late Members only summer races if your competitive juices really start flowing its great coz you're at the beginning of the season (no waiting till the following year to get going!) so there's plenty of time to improve - get fitter - race again and then really kick some butt/get revenge etc come the end of summer race. So two weeks to go, is anyone taking bets? I hope it goes well - especially for newbie/novice types.

Whatever you do don't don't follow MAREK - he generally launches a suicide attack after 1/3rd of a lap and then slowly begins to die; even though he appear to be looking good he's got short term written all over him. The 2nd attack assuming he's still around will look even more promising but unfortunately it will come to nothing. Nevermind he's a great sport . Right then, Marek for the win

Forecast is looking good for sunday. Lets hope it stays that way.

Good weather and plenty of offers of lifts to the venue. Racing with friends you know well and are used to riding with. Cant go wrong really so lets hope a few more sign up before sunday and make it a good event. Come on guys, its great racing with your mates on a closed safe circuit with no potholes or angry car drivers to worry about.
