Marshalls for Crystal Palace Crit on Tuesday 10th June

Hi all,

We need to provide marshalls for Crystal Palace on Tuesday 10th June. The series is organised by Dulwich Paragon, so all we need to do is turn up to marshall, and cheer on some of our clubmates in an evening of exciting crit racing. Sunny evening guaranteed (really, these don't run if it rains), convenient to London, and if people fancy we can go for some beers after

- no of marshalls needed: 10
- time needed: arrive between 6pm and 6:30pm, be in place for 6:30pm start
- place: Crystal Palace park, meet at "DP Liaison" on the map http://www.dulwichparagon.com/tempdocs/palace.jpg
- equipment: All provided

P.S. - it would be nice if there were some Addiscombe racing there for us to cheer on. There are Youth, E/1/2, 3/4th and women's races - note you need to enter online in advance, I don't think there's any entry on the line.

Apologies for late response, I've been in a a bit of an exams black hole these past couple of weeks. Thanks all for volunteering, that should be enough of us now then

If you've not done already, could you please drop me a line with your email and mobile number, so I can keep you updated with any further instructions or if it gets cancelled on the day - which hopefully it won't this year!

Matt - what time do you think you can arrive? I looked at the website and looks like the youth race starts at 18.45. I just want to make sure we have 10 marshalls in place by 18.30 so as not to give the organisers a heart attack, so wanted a couple of spares! If you're not sure you can make it by then, may be best to give this one a miss.

Evidently there's a free beer courtesy of Look Mum No Hands for the first 10 marshalls to show up on the night

As discussed, change of plans for that day so working from home so will be able to get there on time now.

Well done you, you have a good marshal quota so plan to come along and spectate/be backup marshal.

Well done Bridget and all the other marshals for supporting the Palace Crit event last night, all seemed to go off without incident and great for ACC to be supporting these events.

The only near incident was just before the youth races when those lads on BMXes came flying down the hill near me. It might make me a bad person, but the one who tried to garrotte himself on the safety tape was amusing.

I hear some language in the bunch but nobody crashed. Result.
