SERRL Winter Series 4

Quick report from the SERRL Winter Series 4 on 21 Feb:

I attacked at the end of the first lap and went away with another Cat 4; we stayed away until 3 laps to go, at which point I got dropped and picked up by the reduced first group of about 30 riders. I could see Jonathan had been valiantly soft pedalling on the front - we had a gap over 90 seconds at one point, but it was coming down gradually from about the half way point. While I sat in the bunch Jon looked after me well and did a superb leadout on the last lap, but my legs just didn't have anything left after my earlier efforts, and I rolled over the line in 30th place; Jon was 26th. Nevertheless, a great showing and it was good to get the Addiscombe jersey out there!

Great effort both. Shame your legs were shot from the breakaway as it looks like you were both in a decent position at the bell.

Well done.
As a side question were you on carbon rims? If so what brake pads are you using? They sounded quite "knocky". Swiss Stop yellow are brilliant for carbon rims.
