SERC Open 25

A very nice morning greeted the two Agreeables on duty on the Holmwood course today.
Mike Ingram seemed a little disappointed with his time when I talked to him, he shouldn`t have been-a creditable 1.04.43, which he then told me was a pb. Well done Mike.
I couldn`t seem to get going for some unknown reason a came home with 1.07.29
Chris and Lisa Scarlett were down to ride but I did not see them. They were towards the back of the field and I sloped off home early. Also Steve Kemsley was down to ride but I think he may have been at the National 25.

This was actually the first time in nearly a year that I have ridden a TT in clear, dry almost windless conditions. That says more about the number of events I do than it does about the English weather.

I was delighted to achieve my season's target of a sub-65 minute 25 - even if that was last season's goal - and to knock 44 seconds off my pb. It did look as though there were going to be some fast times as I went home for my second breakfast.

In another thread Toks asked what difference aero kit makes. On the same bike last year on the same course in similar conditions without aero clip-ons I rode 1:06:15. So, there's your answer - clip-on bars knock 1 minute 32 seconds off a 25. You can't argue with science!
