Hi, I am Alex, I went on my first club ride with you guys today, just want to say thanks very much for a very enjoyable bike ride, and for being so friendly to the newbie!

I'll hope to see you all again in the coming weeks.

Our bunch had a well drilled feel about it, I gave Adam a bit of a hard time during the ride about sitting in all the time and just going for the sprint- well he showed us all by dragging us around most of the route, and then whipping everyones @rse in the sprint, i even had enough in the tank to have a pop at the sprint this week- Mike Ingrams had a go but it was a bit far out- but he had just come thru on the outside line so it was now or never for him- unfortunately i had sprint machine Adam behind so acting like the big windbreak  i am , he had no trouble passing me.
Very tidy thru and off this week, avg speed at the cafe was just a shade over 20mph 8) - no one was dropped- well not until the last few hundred metres, a couple of the newer guys dug in well, big grins all round :D
Alex - glad you enjoyed yourself.

Well maybe you wont wind me up again anytime soon! That was one of my best sprints on a club run, thanks to your lead out Ian, i manged 58kph. So i 'only' need to finf another 10kph before i can start challenging McEwen et al. Mind you, my doctor is called Harris, not Fuentes!

I also managed to beat Tim and Sylv up Box Hill, though i admit i did sit in all the way up, then go for the cheeky jump just after the last hairpin.

But another brilliant club run, the 'realistic munnery 18-19-20-21mph group' was fantastically organised with a very smooth thru'n'off session. And the sun even managed to break through the grey morning. I am very much a fair weather cyclist. Though I did manage 100km on my own in the New Forest the week before last, in the rain![/i]
