Maybe Phonak have developed a hearing aid that can listen in to other peoples hearing devices, so Landis can hear all the race instructions going to the other teams:
e.g. CSC team, "Landis is up the road, let him have his fun, he will be out the back in half an hour so slow down."
Landis carries on at steady pace and takes the stage. The commentators were talking yesterday that maybe he only had a bit of sunstroke, does sunstroke make you bonk?, if so then fair enough. But if you bonk on one day does it necessarily effect you the next? Surely if you have enough food etc and prepare very well, and look after yourself, e.g. pour two hundred litres of water over your head you will be fine.
p.s. Next week I have a race lined up, anyone fancy driving a car next to me and showering me with water, last night I bonked in the Handicap and that was about 30km, eeek. I finished about 10 mins down.
