Open time trials

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Open time trials

Postby Jon H » Wed Jul 26, 2006 9:18 pm

The club evening time trials have been and gone for another year, but if anyone's been bitten by the bug there are still plenty of open TT's left. Remember no racing licence is required and they're cheap as chips to enter. You do need to enter in advance though, closing date usually being the Tuesday 11 or 12 days before the event.

So, coming soon on local courses;

Sat 12 Aug, am.
Anerley BC 10 on the G10/57 course (Horsham).

Sun 13 Aug, am.
Anerley BC 59 on the G50/53 course (Horsham).

Sat 19 Aug, am
Epsom CC 10, G10/57.

Sun 20 Aug, am
Eastbourne Rovers CC 25 on the G25/89 course (Maresfield).

Sun 27 Aug, am
Old Portlians CC 25, G25/89.

Sat 2 Sept, am
34 Nomads CC 10, Q10/19 course (Tonbridge).

Sat 2 Sept, pm
Redmon CC 10, G10/42 (Holmwood).

Sat 9 Sept, am
De Laune CC 10, Q10/19 course.

Sat 9 Sept, pm
Addiscombe CC 10, G10/42 (Holmwood).

Sun 10 Sept, am
SCCU 25, on G25/53 (Horsham).

If anyone's interested and needs more details, entry forms etc just let me know. Oh, and I still have some CTT handbooks for sale which have all details of the above and every other open TT in the country.

Jon - does the SCCU event 10th Sept on the Horsham course count towards the (Rawson's??) Shield?? I fancy another bash on that course having struggled 1st time and improved 2nd - the added incentive of contributing to the cause would pretty much swing it for me. I have the handbook so if you say yea - I will enter

Me and my grande bouche!!! Entry form being type as we speak. Anyone else who fancies a crack at a 25 - the Shield is an added incentive - ain't it...? Trust me folks - if I can crawl round - ANYONE can!!

I'd be interested in the SCCU 25 on 10/9 aswell. But being Scottish I am unable to justify the expenditure on a CTT handbook at this time of the year (yes it's true what they say) for so few events.

I was wondering if you could also PM the organiser's details for that event, the VTTA 25 on 3/9 on Q25/12 and Kent CA 25 on 24/9 on Q25/10.

Thank you in advance.

Dom- i could tell you a story about tight tykes in majorca, dropping back and letting me be the first up the last climb of the day just so they dont have to get the teas and coffees in ( not pay for them- only to order them  ) But i never tell tales out of school
Dom pm me your house number- i know the road and i will drop off a copy of the CTT book for you.
