Too true Sean. Not only do other sports not look very hard for cheats, when they do find them they clamp down oh so hard. 9 month ban and the club support him during this troublesome time for him and his family. Laughable. As a West Ham fan (stop laughing it could be worse) I can confirm he will not be missed during his ban. He never got a game anyway!
Re David's Chelsea story - Surely picking the difference between blood spinning and doping is a cop out. It's still hardly overly legit.
It seems buying refs is okay as well. Get caught, get a weak penalty, buy the appeal panel, get an even weaker slap on the wrist.
