What fantastic times in such filthy weather. I was mopping up bucketfuls of water out of the cellar Sunday - you must've needed water wings and windscreen wipers!!!

Windscreen wipers and grooved tyres would have been useful - unfortunately I had neither. Spent most of the second lap sliding sideways on the roundabouts and seeing sweet fa out of my glasses on the straights.

My computer measured a speed of 7 mph round the Crawley turn as I concentrated on staying upright and I was planning on riding straight back to the HQ. Unfortunately the rain had eased off by the time I got back to Broadbridge Heath and Joyce was out so no real option but to finish things off
