Tour of Britain volunteers

Postby Alan M » Wed Aug 16, 2006 1:34 pm

I went for my briefing yesterday and it was quite painless, lasting about an hour and a quarter. They need 750 volunteers for the various sections of the London race and having met Dave L and Tamar we have opted for the Russell square section alowing ample time to see the race through and also get a promised good position to watch the finish. Also on offer is the opportunity to be involved in the Tour de France prologue next year and the 2012 Olympics. If you are interested there is a final brifing on 26 August and the London event is on 3 September and you will be there about 12 - 5 - I suggest that you email SarahBradshaw@tfl.gov.uk for details.

The BC email about the Tour of Britain said " TfL confirmed that volunteers for the Kent and London stages of the Tour of Britain 2006, will be their first choice for volunteers at the Prologue of the Tour de France in 2007"

I have signed up for the finish so I shall be there at 08:00 for a long day

Thinking of coming along to spectate -- is there an ACC presence in the warm up races again?
