ToSH kyboshed

Postby huw williams » Sat Aug 26, 2006 8:30 am

As expected when all weather forecasts point to a dry sunny day - it's p****ng down outside just 30 minutes before ToSH is due to start so I'm going to pull the plug and say ITS OFF.

Even if it stops raining the lanes will be in the worst possible condition - intermitantwet, slippery and dry patches. This course is far too dangerous in these conditions.

Appologies to all hardned rain lovers who would have gone for it anyway but it's just not worth the risk of even one person crashing on a fast descent 50 miles from home.

Don't think you're getting away with it though - oh no, ToSH will be re-scheduled in a few weeks. Watch this space

What a shame... I was up early, cleaned the Newbury mud from my bike and changed the tyres - and got depressed as the heavens opened up ...
oh well - we will have to cheer ourselves up at Beer Circus tonight :)
