I recall reading about Bossard, did he go into a bike firm with Vouilloz or something?

Yes indeed - Bossard went on to work with Vouilloz on his own-brand downhiller. I don't think it ever made it into the shops as a commercial venture but it was good enough to win races.

A lot of the tech development on Max Commencal's new range was also down to Bossard I seem to recall
