There seems to be some confusion but an earlier posting suggested that it starts at 10 this year. If so I will ride over from Coulsdon S as a gentle warm up!!, probably the back rout up Chipstead vally road, kingswood and down pebblecombe etc.

Everything I've seen and heard said 10am start.

Also going to ride over as I've missed too many CRs lately and I'm missing the miles.

Alan is the route you say hilly as I'll be on fixed and was going to go CR way and then straight on after Reigate.

I was thinking of an 8:30 start at CSS (anyone else?) to allow for a gentle spin over there - about 15 miles I think - which ever route I end up taking.

Essh 10am start that changes things.

Well what time were you thinking of heading Alan?

Andrew is heading at 8.30. do we want to go over as a group?

Don't think I'll be riding fixed as my wheel hasn't come yet ........

Not sure I am in it but will probably come and watch anyway............

not really hilly andrew except 1 down and some about equal to the lumps on the way to Reigate. Less traffic that rout and will happily meet you for ride over at 8.30 at CSS assuming I am on the list as I can't quite recall.

Sounds good, anything that's no worse than a CR will be fine.
See you, and any others at CSS.

I'll be over at CSS at 8.30 for a warm-up ride to Holmwood. Andrew, the ride over is no lumpier than the course itself, so you should be ok - if not, you're going to have fun later on!

I'm riding over on a normal gear and will flip to a bigger when I get there.

It has the potential to go disasterously wrong, but only for 10 miles. :D

Yep, a 10 on fixed should be fine maybe even better than with gears. Might stop my mind drifting as well. You tend to spin a fixed wheel more than if you ride with gears, hence the firness benefits, so expect to see me windmilling like a looney on the flying finish :D after dying like dog on the inclines :(

See you there if not at CSS.

26.48 from the last evening 10. Clocked 26.27 (or 26.37) in the J&J with Geraldine shouting at me to go quicker so that's my target of what I know I should be able to do.
You can rest easy for now, you've got the edge with your top ride last Saturday.
Shame you're in Barca or we could have rounds 2 & 3 at Eastway and on Ranmore. :D

It seems that the weather comes in to it quite a bit as it can be windy / gusty and often a cross wind on that course. I've done 7 there this year and had 2 calm days, not a great ratio. If I find a tree lined and sheltered, pan flat, smooth surfaced course I'll let you know :)
