I think you'll be up there too Kieran. I may not race at all. I'll decide on the day. I think Marek will be really have his work cut out this year :D

Not at all Sir!... Its being promoted as club event so its important to me that everyone has a great day out. Although I'm not worried about it, there haven't been too many people volunteering to help out on the day - so under those circumstances its probably best if I don't participate... Now of course some people are gonna be more competitive than others in the race and thats only natural. But to be honest with you if we can get a good few novices/club riders giving it a go that would make me most pleased. It'll be almost like doing a 'club 10' lots of friendly faces you already know - except for its a mass start race and you're allowed to do lots of wheel sucking. There you go easy peasy :D

Ha! Made me laugh  thanks!

Anyway, of course you HAVE to race, its eastway so I would think we don't need marshals? just a few doing sign on etc and then doing the placings at the end? You could always do the sign on stuff, then hop on your bike and race.

I've seen your posting in C+ me  thinks you're stepping up your training for the big day! :D

On my way home from work last night I was knocked off my bike and broke my thumb (for the second time in 10 months!) and hurt my shoulder, so I might not be able to participate in Sunday's race. Gutted.

I may, however, be able to help out on the day, if I can get a lift from Croydon. Pm me and let me know if you're going from Croydon and have a spare seat in the car.

Really sorry but I'm afraid I have to scratch. Was really looking forward to this for lots of reasons, but a family thing has come up and I just can't get out of it. It's my birthday that day so I should be able to do what I like, but it's also my twin's (logically), and he's banjaxed everything by 'booking us in' at my mum's on Sunday. So that's that.

Well done Toks for organising this, and good luck to everyone on the day. Just wish I could be there.

Sorry guy's, not able to attend this sunday's race due to illness over the last two weeks. I had been looking forward to the race and was hoping to be well enough to take part but unfortunately my body has had other ideas, losing 9lbs now and feeling very weak.

Good luck to all who take part and hope that everything goes smoothly and safely.

And to those who are in two minds whether to do their first race or are worried they won't keep up, dont be. Just get up there and race.
YOU'LL LOVE IT

Respect to Toks for organising it.

Hope to see you all soon on the club run, although I will be looking for a very slow 17 group to sit behind.
