ToSH reschedule to allow for novice race training

Postby huw williams » Thu Oct 26, 2006 10:12 am

Winter ACC ToSH will now shift to November 11th (weather permitting)

This is for two reasons:

1) It will be colder, harder, darker and more likely to be called off due to bad weather, allowing us to stay in bed.

2) ...and more importantly, there is is a novice racer's training day on the 5th Nov (there'll be fireworks in the peloton), which a lot of members have expressed an interest in attending and you wouldn't want to be doing ToSH the day before that.

Great - so I can go out on that Friday night after all - but not the following one...

The novice race training sounds good - I'm 'plotting' to go on the 5th. How do I go about it? Do I just turn up or do I need to book? I've looked at Hillingdon's website but am none the wiser.

Would like to have worked in a gag about carbon Fawkes, but it just wasn't to be...

Just turn up on the day - and get as many others to go as possible - nothing to worry about it's a lot of fun, very informative and as easy/hard as you want to make it

You will need a bike. Generally a little bit of chat, a bit of riding then maybe a bit more chat.

No the tosh ride will be quite split up by the time we arrive at boxhill and the ballbuster cycling leg will be finished by then - might be a few runners still going up but that's no problem
