100 laps of Eastway – Sat 11th November, 10am

!!!!!!! This event will now have catering !!!!!!

Dear Eastway cyclists, As you will all be aware, Eastway officially closes its doors to the public on Tue 31 October. However, the staff at the circuit would like to invite as many riders and friends as possible to meet at the circuit one last time on Saturday 11th November, the day before we had over the site to the LDA for redevelopment.

We’d like to see how many laps we can accumulate between us on this day and our plan is for as many riders as possible to ride 100 laps starting at 10am.

We don’t expect everyone to complete 100 laps and there will be a space on the signing on sheet for people to record the number of laps they have added to the overall total. Make sure you have a computer on your bike or I guarantee you’ll lose count!

This is a casual event and there is no charge for joining in.
It’s our way of saying a fond farewell to a much loved place so please join us if you can.

Pre registration is not necessary but if you do plan to come please drop me a line so I can get an idea of numbers. jcocker@leevalleypark.org.uk

Non-riders and supporters are also welcome, especially if they can hand up the odd bottle and take the odd photo!!!

Hope to see you on Sat 11th November

James Cocker

*Did you know, Eastway has approximately 20m of height gain every lap. So in 100 laps that adds up to 2000m of climbing!
