1. Who's the ACC rider on page 23 and what Cyclosportiv event is it?

2. Killer Climb (Box Hill) page 52. Can anyone confirm, are the hairpin bends 10?. I didn't think they were that steep

looking closely it is not an ACC top and it looks a bit to moor-like to be in the SE

Somebody have a word with Huw. What's he doing daring to feature non Addiscombe riders in the mag?

i have got a magic gadget or 2 and they have never gone over 6% gradient, if they are 10% hairpins they are only 10 metres long, steepest bit is up to the first hairpin, then an avg 4/5%. Killer climb?@rse!

Just what I thought Ian. How could they say anywhere on the Box Hill climb is 10%? :?

Toks - you should remember that climb well - its the Nameless climb after senny bridge on the Dragon ride, just before it kicks right at the top hairpin.

It's from this year's ride but I don't know who the rider is.

Consumately the hardest climb I've done in a UK sportive. it comes after 97miles and many more massive hills

Notice how riders walking are slipping on the tarmac cos its so steep - BIG MISTAKE. If you ever find yourself having to walk up there - get on the grass - walking on such a steep hill on the tarmac takes a huge amount of effort just to stay upright

Bet those 2 riders were grateful for the "get on your bike", and "it's a cycle race" heckles! :D
I remember watching this, Boonen's power riding up it was very impressive. The Koppenbergs been dropped again for 2007, I think to try and keep everyone on their bikes.
What's the Killer Climb section like in the Belgian CW? Take a lot to impress those tough fellas.
