ACC Rider down

Postby Ian A4size » Mon Dec 04, 2006 10:26 pm

I have just heard that Gavin was knocked off his bike this morning on his commute- a car took his wheel away and he is currently in U.H.lewisham, he has some vertebrae damage which will mean he is in a brace and will be enjoying a stay of approx 2 weeks, he can move his arms and legs- so he is probably in better shape now then when he finished the Marmotte last year .
As soon as i have more info i will post.

PS i dont know the state of the bike - but i do know it was not the carbon giant

Bum.

UHL is just down the road from me. Does he need anything bringing in? Or somewhere to store his bike until he's released?

Really bad luck Gav.

During recovery just try and stay positive by concentrating about all the things you're missing out on... Force 9 gales, driving rain, cold mornings, slurry covered roads, commuting amongst psycopathic car-drivers.

...and all the things you can do more of... more time in bed, more time in the pub, more time with Carley

..and you'll be back before you know it

I was going to post about what a nightmare commute I had this morning, getting soaked to the bone, puncturing to find out I only had road bike tubes for my mtb wheel ... well how lucky I should actually feel.

Sorry to hear that Gavin, hope you're back on foot asap.
