Well said Brian, it's thanks to Toks and Marek etc that I'm going to take the plunge, although I may need water-wings.
Marek has started organising short handicaps on the Surrey League circuits for a Saturday CR. I did the first, and although I suffered, it was fun and bound to be useful. When Marek is back it would be good to get a few of us novices out for them, so we could work and learn together. Should help us avoid being dropped in completely at the deep end come race time.
