Dragon Ride - News

Postby huw williams » Fri Jan 12, 2007 3:36 pm

Just got off the phone with Lou Lusardi, organiser of the Drgaon Ride, who confirms that the event is close to closing for entries - there are about 40 places left which he reckons will be gone by Monday - so if you're half considering joining the army of ACC members already signed up, book your space this weekend or miss the chance, with 2250 riders on the line there will be no extra places on the day.

2250 RIDERS!!! You know you want to be part of that

Also, Phil O'Connor CW photographer and erstwhile ACC member has been retained as the official event photographer and is hiring an assistant on the day so there will be a lot more locations covered in the pics - so look your best, lose those extra few kilos and wash that kit.

Does anyone want a (brief) presentation talk on the Dragon Ride in particular or a season of sportive preperation in general? If so I'll do it at the club room and answer any questions on:

Advance preperation, preperation on the day, what's on the course and where, what to carry etc etc

Let me know if that's of interest - the ride is approaching fast.

Huw a presentation on the Dragon would be very helpful . I have entered and am planning on doing several other sportives this year and so I would also find a talk on season prep very useful.

It would also be a good chance to meet up with other ACC entrants

[quote] she was a bit top heavy and fell off

She was quite popular in her day, but she did have her knockers.

I'd be very interested in the talk, Huw.
