Postby Ian A4size » Sat Jan 13, 2007 5:42 pm

If any one is interested i intend to ride out from the feathers in merstham at 10 oclock on sunday. A few riders have expressed an interest. NOT a balls out jobby, probably a 2/3 hour ride. Cafe stop if people request one.

5 riders out today which was not too bad seeing as there was a Reliability ride on as well. Huw never rode, :? but he did bring Amy down, but Kevin and Jim turned up  and kicked all @rses. Those 2 guys are seriously fit and i had tired legs from the day before  . A beautiful sunny day with lots of rolling hills, plenty of recovery for the faster boys tho as Nigel , Amy and myself came panting up behind. Full marks for Amy today, she rode really strongly and towed me up the last 2 hills as i was shot. ( still i rolled down the hills fairly quick- wonder why?)
1154 metres of climbing and a fairly respectable avg speed as well.
Great "double" weekend of biking for me as the last one was a complete washout.

A great route today Ian.

Not an area I usually go to.

Might be worth checking your tires as I had a few nicks from those back lanes.

Thanks for taking us around those lanes Ian, really enjoyed yesterday,up untill the way home when I got a puncture and decided not to repair it just pump it up now and again, made for some entertaining handling on the corners! if you get a chance to could you post a profile/map of that route cheers
