It's weather like this that makes me glad I've got a chest infection and I'm off the bike and on the train. Maybe.

well wasn't so bad this morning, sounded alot worse than it was (bark worse than bite thingy), but mainly as the wind was a headwind which hakes for hard cycling but not a sidewind which makes for dangerous cycling. When out at lunch very very windy but now looking out seems a picture of calm! hurray!

Everyone here's in a complete flap about getting home. Time for the cyclist to rise up and carry the day!

Yes, I walked to London Bridge then had to walk back to Cannon Street and then get a train to London Bridge, where I changed and got a train to East Grinstead. This stopped at Oxted where we were told that the line was shut due to more trees on the line. I phoned the lovely wife and she picked me up.

This was after my morning train hitting a tree and being delayed for 3 hours, I left EG at 7.30am this morning got to work at 11.30am. Not a great day.

Am now home and don't intend to go back to work until the wind has died down. Maybe Monday.

Cheers

Marek....

Noise-wise wind seemed to have died. Good thing I'm working late

Had similar fun with London Bridge this evening. It was interesting to note that they didn't let you in the station as it was "falling down" according to the Police, yet were quite happy for you to change there from the sardine can you got on at Cannon Street!

Wimped out of riding today due to the wind, don't care if it's force 10 tomorrow I'm on the bike to save this hassle.

I left Camberwell on my bike just before 6pm expecting the worst. I had a strong tailwind in the morning. Not as bad as I thought and dare I say I thought it was quite pleasant at times. Got home to Merstham at 7.10pm.

Ride home wasn't too bad in the end. Only one scary moment on Wandsworth Bridge, when I had to unclip because I thought I was about to be blown into the side of the bridge...

Saw a tree that had squashed fallen across a car and into a posh house in Belgravia... and then a few more trees down in the park across the road...

Rode in and back yesterday  The ride in was fine ,the ride home wasn't to bad had a couple of hairy moments . But the worst one was at Thorton Heath pond where i had yet another punture!!Should be interesting to see if the ammount of traffic will reduce when the congestion charge comes in.
