Lots of ACC riders on these please as I've just had confirmation that CW will be covering them in full - so smart kit and no snotty noses/dribbling up the Ashdown Forest or bloated, red faces over Toys Hill - there will be a couple of photographers out at each event and I've briefed them to go to the hardest bits.

I'll be asking for literary contributions from anyone with interesting/devestating/heroic/pathetic tales - especially RT virgins

DONT PANIC - thry're reliability trials. A test of how reliable you are at getting round a set course in a pre-estimated amount of time. The amount of time is up to you and you can take several steady hours about it with a lunch stop if that's what you want to do, nobody will hold it against you!

January 28 2007 Catford C.C.
Knockholt Village Hall, Knockholt, Kent
104k and 54k starting from 09.00hrs

February 11 2007
Old Portlians C.C.
Halstead Village Hall, Halstead, Kent
100k starting from 09.00hrs and 68k starting from 09.30hrs

February 18 2007
Sydenham Wheelers. Knockholt Village Hall, Knockholt, Kent
110k and 70k starting from 09.00hrs

After that we're likely to be covering the Hilly 50 and the Redmon RT which I think are both in early March.

Hi Richard , I'll be riding the RR on Sunday . I believe the route is similar to last week ... nearly as Hilly as TOSH. but quiter lanes , and superb countryside ... a real joy !

I'll be riding from Clapham if fancy a warm up before the main event ... Let me know and we can arrange to meet up , Cheers, Matt

I did this last year and it's a very nice day out indeed - really lovely scenery. Nothing really nasty on the hill front until you get past Godstone -I think it's called Gangers Hill, or something similar. The last checkpoint is at the top so you can get your breath back and congratulate yourself that you're over the worst. Anyway, nothing to trouble a man of your calibre, Apples.

Enjoy the day - I'll think of you as I bowl around the lanes of north Norfolk

The Redmon are also promoting a reliability trial, but I think it clashes with the Old Ports.
A number of Agreeables did this event last year including Huw, Tamar, Graham and myself. It is a pretty good route, up Coldharbour, Coombe Bottom, etc.
If you don`t fancy the trip to Kent-you`ll certainly enjoy this ride into the Surrey Hills.
Meet Feb 11, Hill House, Bishopsford Road,
Rose Hill, Sutton (8.45).

Tomorrow's ride seems to begin at 8.30 which is a lot of pressure - but I aim to make it and opt for the 100 km

Hope to see some others - I can't do next week though

Didn't get down there till 8:15 and there were loads of riders queueing to register so no time for a stretch before the off .We were doing the 60 mile route and I think we got going about 8:45 it was freezing !

The directions were ok if you knew the area, but we had quite a few stops in the first half hour to check the map (no helpful arrows)

Soon joined with a large group of riders so we tagged along with them as they seemed to know where they were going and we could get some shelter from the wind.

But then about halfway round the whole peleton of about 30 riders took a wrong turn !!!

The route was pretty much all through quiet country lanes with some testing climbs and fast descents and nice views of the countryside.

At the last checkpoint we met up with a group of MTBers and followed them for a while until we broke away in the mad dash for home.

Despite the cold and the blustery wind it was a great day out . I had 3hrs 27 on my computer at the finish but we'd had some map stops so my official time will be a bit over 3:30 :)

Great cake at the clubhouse afterwards !

Looked out for you at registration Matt but we were in a rush . Maybe see you next time
