i use a cork in one of the bar ends of my bike because the proper ones came off 8) , but you could always keep one there and take it out when needed :D

Indeed I now never ride without a cork. Especially after being caught in the act on camera at Hillingdon without using one.
It also comes in handy whilst up front on the tandem!
