OK, I've got a rare "Double day pass" for this weekend. So, as well as the clubrun on Saturday (standard one for me, one of the conditions is "be back for half past one") I'm going for a mountainbike ride on Sunday.

So, who's in and where do you fancy going? I'm pretty open to suggestions.

The default setting will be a local singlespeed ride meeting at ECBR at 10am, but I could easily be talked into going to Peaslake or Bracknall Forest. I have an estate car, so two passengers and bikes is possible if we decide to do an "awayday"

Cushtie told me about the midnight sun marathon in Norway above the arctic circle he's been doing several times, and I'm tempted to do it.

Elliot should be enjoying his new road frame not riding mtb : - P

So, here's the plan.

Meet at ECBR at "about" 10am aiming to faff for a while before setting off about 20 or 25 past ten.

If Marco turns up, we'll go wherever he fancies taking us. Otherwise we'll set off out towards the North Downs and head sort of eastish towards (ultimately) Keston, so I can wuss out after the ponds. We *may* detour out towards the "Wall of Death" if I can remember how to get there.

Should be loads of peeps out on old bikes, some from Australia. Will be on the Ibis ...

Thanks for my inaugural SS off-road ride Grahame, it was excellent - can't believe I did it :shock:

Although my theory that the ride would help my cold was rubbish.

it's a lot worse now :roll:

Hope the theory that the ride would help your injured leg was more accurate.

Sylvain. Have you got any sort of link for the retroride ? Can't seem to find anything about it.

Hi Bob, sorry that it didn't help your cold.

It did help my leg injury a bit. However, I seem to have developed a cold as well.

You looked comfortable on the singlespeed all the way round.
