I'll also be there provided the weather's ok. I understand it's tougher than the Catford a couple of weeks ago - anyone know the route?

Has anyone got a calender of similar rides for March and April - can't seem to find many locally.

I'll be there if its not snowing

Route IS harder and much better - out through Otford round the back of Sevenoaks, down Bailey's hill to Chiddingstone - if you're in a fast group here you won't be much longer - up Fordcoombe, down Groombridge then right up to the top of Ashdown (tea stop).

Down to Hartfield, Edenbridge, Four Elms, Toys Hill and either Star or Poll Hill to finish

4 hours and you're going very well

WARNING: Much more of the route than last week is in narrow lanes off the beaten track (especially at the start) so punctures are always an issue - check your tyres are in good nick.

Andy - Traditionally the reliability ridess take place in Jan/feb/early March and are usually over by end of March, so look to the start of the sportive season if you like this kind of riding

Next Sundays ride

Postby Paul on the Pearson » Tue Feb 06, 2007 3:18 pm

Won't be able to make it for Sundays ride, but lfrom Huws route decription sounds a bit similar, but longer and on the day tougher and faster, to the ride I did on Sunday. Out on the A21 to Pratts Bottom, Knockholt, Halstead, some little climbs round there, down and up a muddyish lane called Magpie Bottom, out towards Penshurst, Chiddingstone and back over York Hill, bloody hell had forgotten how nasty that one is, Toys and Brasted.
Will be out for the Hilly 50 and the ride next Sunday
Cheerio

PS Wheres Fordcombe?
