Sounds good to me .

You guy's can work for us as we go for our crazy long breakaway that nobody can manage to reel back in,

then if Adam likes he may sprint for the final podium spot :)

thanks george... though i am concerned im not the sprinter i was in 2005 anymore, im fitter and stronger, and can ride faster for longer...

but i just dont feel like i have the same power anymore... but march 31st is still a long way off, plenty of time for intervals

Stu, hmm, try sprinting a lot.

Sounds like we had better all get our entries in for this race, at this race it is going to be Addiscombe verses the Mosquitos and there won't be any places left for other teams.

I would not worry about the London Dynamos unless they have got a man in the break. If they have a man in the break you can guarantee that they will chase it down. I think that they must have some kind of internal rivalry or they all don't like each other.

Mind you are old mate Matt, the yorkshire terrier is racing for London Dynamo this year, and he is starting off as a third cat. All I can say is say your prayers guys. Mind you, the way Tim Liquigas is going I reckon he will kick ass this season.

Cheers

I must admit I don't do much in the way of neuromuscular (sprinting) workouts. After a good warm up try sprinting for 5-15 secs every few mins either up slight drags or on the flat. Do them in a lowish gear for leg speed 39/15 or 53/21 so you can get up to 120rmps; and also in a medium size gear for 'power' (53/17 or 53/15).

Once you've done about ten or 12 good efforts that should be ok for a session. Do them when you're fresh and concentrate on your technique (flatish back, hands in the drop etc). If its a weekness start practising from 5/6 weeks before your target race with perhaps 1/2 sessions a week.[quote]Mind you are old mate Matt, the yorkshire terrier is racing for London Dynamo this year, and he is starting off as a third cat. Which Matt is that Marek?

Sorry he is from Carlisle, I cannot remember his surname, he is the one that killed everyone on the Autumn Epic in Wales about 2 years ago. He is mega strong.

Cheers

BC Points: am I missing something there or what?

"BC points will be issued in 3 groups: Elites & 1st, 2nd & 3rd and 4th Cats. Each 4th Cat race winner will automatically be advanced to the 3rd Cat races for the rest of the series".

If it was a C+ race then it's normally only the first ten, regardless of cat.

Changing again ...

[quote]Myself, The race commissaries and BC are working together to sort out the points once and for all now that the series has finished.

BC have agreed to award points to 3 races :- race a E&1 race b 2&3 and race c 4th cat

It will probably take a few weeks to amend the BC records and website but hang in there, it is getting done.

I hope you all have a successful racing summer, and I look forward to seeing you all again next December.

Kind regards
Lucy Collins
