Thanks for your replies, Alan, whilst I can understand the concern parents might have, I know I can guarantee any child on a ride I attend will not in any way be abused ( I'm not really concerned about the risk of false allegations). So that's not a problem for me.
What I can not guarantee, is that they won't have an accident and cause themselves injuries.
I'm thinking what if a 16 year old had seen Grahames' post on the forum and turned up on sunday at East Croydon ?
Clearly adults ride at their own risk, but it seems that minors are the responsibility of the other adults.
With off-roading in particular, requiring constant risk assement and desision making, I don't much like that.
