i had barbapapa books, but it was confusing having babar books as well (which as i recall were somewhat heavy on belgian style colonialism)

edit: babar was french not belgian, i guess there are french monarchists

Babar was the daddy! I had a book with photos of Babar puppets in action. It was a bit weird.
