Are you Racing this weekend?: March 3rd and 4th

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Training

Postby Paul on the Pearson » Tue Mar 06, 2007 3:29 pm

Trainings going ok. Been going out with the nineteen group and then doing a hilly 60 odd mile loop on Monday taking in the delights of York, Toys and Brasted hills to try and build up a bit of strenght. The start of the ride is along the A21 ( I think) so try to maintain a decent speed along there before turning off at Prats Bottom. One of the reasons for doing an early season race was to instil a bit more focus into the training as Ive still got a long way to go.
see you out on the CR maybe Toks and thanks for getting us into this racing lark in the first place.

So Paul H and Paul T are doing Afold this Sunday (as well as Marek, and George's young doppelganger, racing for In Gear!), anyone else?

I'm provisionally racing Gorrick on the singlespeed with Simon, but if the weather turns foul I think I'll do this instead :)

Excellent - it looks like Team Addiscombe will be the biggest Team in the Race.

21st doesnt sound too bad in a E123 race especially after doing loads of work in a break for most of the way

Yeah as impressive as that sounds Paul it doesn't mean a damn thing if you don't get a good placing. That was pretty much the story of my races last season.

Everyone knows George should potentially win a few races this year but its not that easy. Thats why you gotta take ya hat off to 'testers' the strongest man wins - period end of story. If the ACC V Mosquito Bikes rivarlly keeps everyone motivated I think that a good thing. Personally the enemy is still those Dynamos (except for Warrick of course) :D

By racing against each other in terms of rivalry in a race when there are lots of other teams is not going to do any of us any good, it just means we will probably kill each other and let some other team rider take the glory.

Anyhow, enough about that, are you all looking forward to it, I have got butterflies already, I love the start of the season, its what I have been waiting for since September.

See you on Sunday everyone and good luck and be safe.

Cheers

Marek....

I'm up for a Mozzy/Addiscombe alliance as well.

If we get in a break together it would be good to know that everybody is going to work hard to stay away and that nobody in the main bunch is going to chase us down.
