The usual suspects were out this morning on a very windy TT circuit at Bletchingley - me, Rich V, & Rob R-E. Plus 2nd claim big Dave Palmer.
A very small field for an open event, only 32. What's up with some people, don't they like 21 miles of hills? Anyway, that was good news for me; more chance of getting a high placing, which means more Spoco SE points.
I found out just how windy it was while warming up, when a big sidewind gust caught me leading to some "exciting" swervy action. For most of the race I erred on the side of caution, and stayed off the tri-bars and didn't give it full gas on the fast downhill bits. Caught a few people, and only got caught by one guy about 1/2 a mile from the finish.
1:00:42 (8th place) for me, which was a bit annoying as I'd got under the hour last year. 1:02:04 for Rich, and 1:05:37 for Rob, which gave us the TEAM WIN
